We are committed to removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and to meeting our requirements under the AODA and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

2. Accessible Customer Service

In accordance with Ontario Regulation 429/07 (Accessibility Standards for Customer Service), we have established policies and practices to ensure that we provide our goods and services in an accessible way. Specifically:

  • We communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability.
  • We welcome people with disabilities who are accompanied by a support person.
  • We welcome people with disabilities who are accompanied by a service animal in areas of our premises that are open to the public.
  • We provide notice when facilities or services used by people with disabilities are temporarily disrupted.
  • We offer training to all staff, volunteers, and others who deal with the public on accessible customer service.

3. Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (2024–2029)

Our multi-year accessibility plan outlines the steps we are taking to prevent and remove barriers and to meet our requirements under the AODA. This plan is reviewed and updated at least once every five years.

Information and Communications

  • We are working to make our website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as required by January 1, 2021 for our organization size.
  • We provide accessible formats and communication supports upon request.
  • We ensure that feedback processes are accessible to people with disabilities.
  • New and significantly refreshed website content is reviewed for accessibility compliance on an ongoing basis.

Employment

  • We notify employees and the public about the availability of accommodation for applicants with disabilities in our recruitment process.
  • We develop individual accommodation plans and return-to-work processes for employees with disabilities.
  • We provide accessible formats and communication supports for employees upon request.

Design of Public Spaces

  • When constructing or undertaking major modifications to our showroom, we will meet the Accessibility Standards for the Design of Public Spaces (Ontario Regulation 413/12).
  • We maintain accessible features of our showroom and address disruptions in a timely manner.

4. Website Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, which includes providing text alternatives for non-text content, captions for video, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigability, and content that works with assistive technologies such as screen readers. If you encounter any barriers on our website, please contact us using the information below and we will work to address the issue promptly.
